Empower Youth on Wednesday nights is an interactive faith formation program for 6th through 10th graders.
Empower Youth meets the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
6th through 8th graders meet in the parish hall and the 9th through 10th graders meet in the youth room.
Empower Youth uses meaningful and fun activities to build a faith community, foster the faith of young people, participate in service projects and involve them in church ministries. Caring adult volunteers are prepared to provide a safe-environment for each youth: a place where people learn and experience their faith.
The 9th and 10th grade group is feed supper at the beginning of every session, because we realize many are coming directly from school activities.
Empower youth uses interactive programs that are relevant to the lives of today’s youth to accomplish three goals set forth in the USCCB’s document: Renewing the Vision—
To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.
To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
High School Movie / Dinner night: The first Wednesday of the month is reserved for dinner and a movie for all high school youth.
(middle school do not meet the first Wednesday of the month)
