One sad bumper sticker reads "The one with the most toys wins!"
We all know the absurdity of living a life like this. A key principle and ethic of the Christian faith is service.
In fact, it would be better to describe the goal of a happy life as:
"The ones who die having served and poured themselves out for the sake of others wins!"
We Catholics note this clearly in every Crucifix that we see, a reminder of Christ's selfless life, passion, death.
And we also know that through death and loss and sacrifice, that life and hope and blessings flow!!!!!!
